More: Quieter foliage tourism season predicted for Vermont in 2020 due to COVID
Whether it’s for a fall foliage tour or one final staycation before hunkering down for the winter, here’s a selection of deals that have been advertised on social media:
The Norwich Inn
This Upper Valley institution is advertising a deal for Vermont residents through Dec. 30, 2020. Show a Vermont ID to qualify for a 15% room discount, plus a block of cheddar cheese, a bottle of beer and late checkout.
The Brandon Inn
The Brandon Inn has been around longer than Vermont has been a state, dating to 1786. The Rutland County business is offering Vermont guests 25% off on a stay of two nights or more through the end of October, according to a Facebook post from small-business boosters We Love Vermont.
Basin Harbor in Vergennes is offering special rates for Vermonters until their season ends in mid-October, according to an Instagram post.
“And if you have to work a bit, don’t worry!” the post reads. “We’ve got real life Zoom backgrounds that’ll make your coworkers jealous and free WiFi, too.”
There’s a two-night minimum for the special.
The Essex Resort and Spa
The Essex Resort and Spa is advertising rooms starting at $123 per night for Vermont residents, as well as 20% off dining, spa treatments and cooking classes.
ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain
This one’s for everyone, Vermonters and tourists alike. The popular science museum in Burlington has free admission on Wednesdays — but online tickets are required. Choose from one of three time slots that will allow you to wander the exhibits for 1 ½ hours.
