Long Beach Police Department officers investigating reports of shots fired on Saturday evening heard gunshots and located evidence of a shooting, but no victim was found.
Patrons dispersed as officers investigated reports of shots in the area of the Pike Outlets, the department said. Initial word of the incident was posted by police around 6:35 p.m. “Due to the large crowds we will have a large presence in the area,” the department said at that time.
The evidence of a no-hit shooting was found in the area of Pine Avenue and Shoreline Drive, the department said on social media.
