Letters, Sept. 16: ‘High time Alberta started with some tough action’

So, the UCP is even in the polls with the socialist, spend-like-a-drunken-sailor NDP. If Premier Jason Kenney wants serious discussions at the federal table, then it’s time to already squeeze the energy taps on the country. If Alberta is on its knees, being kicked in the face, then all of us in this “country” should be brought to their knees! Sounds fair to me?
(When we’ve finished being nice and subservient little providers with no help from fellow Canadians *side-eye glance west*, perhaps it will come to that.)

A Black man walked up to a police car in which two Los Angeles County deputy sheriffs were sitting and shot them multiple times. Both officers, a young white man, a young white woman, are now in intensive care fighting for their lives. Black Lives Matter, otherwise called the “protesters” by the mainstream media, blocked off entries and exits to the hospital, chanting, “We hope they die!” This deeply ugly news story is “out there” on social media. But, on MSM, i.e. mainstream media, it’s far from getting anything like the kind of the coverage it would get if the usual Black-white racial polarity was reversed. Sooner rather than later, it’ll be understood, anti-white racism is the accepted norm where MSM is concerned.
(Not to say it didn’t happen but social media is not a reliable news source.)
